Casualty Review Panel gives its findings This panel is made up of members from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Maritime Accident Investigation Branch, RNLI, maritime industry, academia and sports governing bodies. It meets once a year to discuss the circumstances surrounding fatal maritime incidents, and makes a judgment about whether a life jacket or buoyancy aid might have saved a person's life, have found that the lives of 16 people could have been saved in 2020 if they had been wearing a life jacket while out on the water.

RYA Yachtmaster Beat Up Course & Assessment 25-31 October 2021 – 25/10/2021 –

Based at the Army Offshore Sailing Centre The course will commence at 09000hrs on the first day and will run through until 1600hrs on the Thursday. A moderator will then join the yacht on Friday morning to carry out the assessment of the appropriate qualifications. The cost of the course will be £260 per person.

RYA. Coastal Skipper Practical Course 10-14 October 2021 – 10/10/2021 –

Based at the Army Offshore Sailing Centre The course will commence at 09000hrs on the Monday and will run through until 1600hrs on the Friday. The course will teach the prospective Coastal Skipper, how to carry out all of the tasks required of an RYA Coastal Skipper. There will be no moderation on the completion of the course, however a Course Attendance Certificate will be provided.

RYA Competent Crew and Day Skipper Practical Course 20-24 September 2021 – 20/09/2021 –

Based at the Army Offshore Sailing Centre The RYA CC-DS courses run from 0830hrs Mon – 1600hrs the following Fri. The minimum age for candidates is 18 years unless cleared by CI AOSC. The cost is £260 which covers all victualling and berthing. Wet Weather gear is also provided at a small cost, if required.
