Kayak Safari – Sun 18th Aug

Portchester SC in conjunction with Believe & Achieve are running a taster session for Kayakers ahead of potential regular sessions at the club.

This is a pre-booked event only. No “spare” kayaks will be available on the day.

The event is open all PSC Members and the General Public, however PSC members will get a 15% discount using the code supplied to members by internal email 

Dawn and Rob will provide all the equipment and have single and double kayaks available. They will lead the session

  • Single and Double Kayaks are available.
  • Children between 6-13 need to be in a double kayak with an adult.
  • All participants need to be able to swim 400m
  • If you have you own kayak you can join the session for just £5, please email sailing@portchestersc.org so we have an indication of numbers.

This is an initial date as a trial, if popular we will look to put additional weekend sessions on our program. However we are also looking at setting up regular Kayak sessions on Monday evenings.  If you are interested in this please contact:  sailing@portchestersc.org

Vectis Rally – Sun 11th Aug

The long range weather forecast is looking a little lively for the Vectis Rally, our annual cruiser and dinghy day trip to the Isle of Wight for a BBQ lunch.

There is a weather system developing through Friday 9th giving winds touching 40knts.  This eases through Saturday and Sunday but currently still 15-20knts through Sunday at the time planned to be crossing The Solent

Edward Ramsden MBE 1938-2019

On Tuesday, July 23, 2019, Edward Ramsden, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at the age of 81.
